Receiver-in-the-Canal (RIC)

RIC and RITE hearing aids are similar to behind-the-ear hearing aids except a tiny wire connects the pieces instead of tubing. This makes the device less visible.

Open Fit

Open-fit hearing aids are a variation of behind-the-ear hearing aids. This style keeps the ear canal open and allows low-frequency sound to enter the ear naturally. High-frequency sounds are amplified through the hearing aid. This style is good for mild to moderate hearing loss.

Invisible-in-the-canal (IIC)

Superior performance in the smallest size possible.

Completely-in-the-canal (CIC)

CIC hearing aids are molded to fit inside the ear canal. They are typically used to improve mild to moderate hearing loss in adults.

In-the-canal (ITC)

ITC hearing aids are custom molded and fit partly in the ear canal. They may include features that won’t fit on CIC hearing aids.

In-the-ear (ITE)

ITE hearing aids are custom made using two styles. One fills most of the bowl-shaped area of your outer ear. That is called a full shell. The other fills only the lower part of the ear and is called a half shell. Both styles treat mild to severe hearing loss.

Behind-the-ear (BTE)

BTE hearing aids hook over the top of your ear and rests behind the ear. Tubing connects the hearing aid to a custom earpiece or earmold that fits in the ear canal. This hearing aid is suitable for all ages and most types of hearing loss.

CROS hearing aids are a smart solution for single sided deafness.
